Therapy:

Sadie is our therapy dog. She brings affection, comfort and happiness to people in confined living situations, whether they are in a hospital for a short stay or living in an assisted living home. Sadie also serves in many other ways, including helping people with learning difficulties, helping people with mental and physical therapy, and bringing comfort to people in stressful situations such as those recovering from disaster.

Research has shown that contact with a therapy animal helps improve a patient's physical, mental, emotional and social state, which in turn helps them better engage and participate in the process of their treatment and recovery.

Counseling:

We are pleased to announce the addition of a Substance Abuse Counselor to our staff, with over 15 years of experience in the field of Drug and Alcohol Abuse as well as being considered a parenting expert in the State of New Jersey.  She is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Tobacco Treatment Specialist and Strengthening Families Facilitator.  With her vast knowledge of the field, as well as referral sources and education, she is available for facilitating an intervention (if needed), getting your family member into treatment and helping the family with the damage left behind due to drug/alcohol use.  Canine Guardian is available to stay with your family from detection all the way through to aftercare and resources.  These services are available at an additional cost.  Please contact us for additional information.

Home Sweeps:

To locate and expose substances found in the typical household. We are not affiliated with law enforcement or other government agencies and are not required to notify them of our findings. These are truly confidential canine searches that will afford an opportunity to intervene and get help for the family member.

Concerned parents are hiring drug-sniffing dogs to find out if their teens are using illegal substances. When they can get that proof at that key time period before it goes overboard, it gives them a lot of power to make an intervention and stop what’s happening.
